Merit Badge College Handouts

 

 

                  Spring Merit Badge College 2011 in Topsham

 

Where?  Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) on Pinewood Drive in Topsham.

(Pinewood is the first right turn after the Topsham Library.)

When?  Thursday evenings, March 3, 10, 17, 24 and April 7, 14

What time?  6:00-8:00pm; done in two, 50-55 minute sessions.

Merit Badge Changes for 2011

Astronomy, Horsemanship, and Nuclear Science merit badges will have revised requirements in 2011. Archery and Sports merit badges will have minor requirement updates.

Merit Badge Counselor List

The Downeast District Advancement Committee is currently working on reorganizing and updating the Downeast District merit badge counselor list.  In order to do this most efficiently, we need the help and cooperation of every individual scouting unit.

All Cub Scout units must fill out advancement online/paper forms

Starting June 1 of this year all Cub Scout units must fill out an
advancement form or use online advancement for all RANK advancement (Bobcat,
Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light) to purchase the badges from
the Scout Shop.  If a unit needs their advancement code for online

Star to Eagle Conference

owneast District will host a Star to Eagle Conference on May 9, 2009 at the
Wiscasset Scout Hall, Lincoln Street, Wiscasset. Registration and a meet &
greet is at 9:30 a.m., followed by presentations, displays and Q&A sessions
for Star and Life Scouts and their parents. We will cover Project
descriptions, Paperwork, Organizing and Planning Your Time, Leadership and
the Service Project, Planning a Court of Honor.
