+ Please note prerequisites for this class.

Scouts should bring a Blue card—signed by their unit leader—for each merit badge, at the first class.

How to register? Boy Scouts (not parents) should contact the instructor listed beside each merit badge listed above to register for that class.  If using email, please be sure to include the words Boy Scouts or Merit Badge College in your subject heading.  Scouts may register for one or two sessions.  When you call the instructor ask these questions:  Do I need to purchase a merit badge booklet?  Or will all info be provided by the instructor?  Are any assignments due on / for the first class?

Completion of MBC merit badges: Every effort will be made to complete as many requirements as possible for each of the offered merit badges during the time of MBC.  This includes each scout completing assignments on time.  Instructors will make every effort to finish all or as many requirements as possible during the time of MBC.  If needed, scouts and instructors can make arrangements to complete any unfinished requirements via phone, email, etc. once the Fall MBC is over.  To insure receipt of your signed and completed blue card (if not received at the last class), each scout should give their instructor a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

NEW!  NEW!  NEW!

We will be offering a variety of fun, informative, interesting sessions for adults (leaders, parents, volunteers, etc.) that will hopefully answer questions, offer opportunities, provide advice, etc..

Preregistration required for both sessions to allow instructor to better prepare materials.

Tom LeRoy          449-2929              tplergo@yahoo.com

This program is designed as a refresher for current Merit Badge Counselors as well as a primer for new ones!  We will cover the philosophy of the program, how it supports Scouting's aims and methods, as well as the "supporting processes" (blue cards / adult leader applications / how to get the word out, etc.); and the nuts and bolts of the merit badge counselor's role.  The training will include a discussion of common questions and quandaries a merit badge counselor may run into.
