2. AND ANOTHER. Some of you may remember back in the late ‘90s—the district was invited to participate in the prototype of the Committee Challenge. Quite an honor for a small district in Maine, far away from the national council! We worked with John Alline and phone calls went back and forth from his office to us‼

Subject: Sad News
Members of the Order of the Arrow Committee:
It is with great sadness that I share with you of the death of John Alline, who passed away unexpectedly in his sleep last night.
John has been serving as Director of the Jamboree Department, and of course, we all knew him well as the previous Associate Director of the Order of the Arrow.
Clyde Mayer has been in contact with the family and he and I will stay in touch to pass on any relevant information as it becomes available.
Please keep John's loved ones in your prayers as they begin to deal with this shock and loss.
May God Bless each of you,
Ray”
