1. INFORMATION ON ADULT LEADER TRAINING SCHEDULED FOR 2-27-2010
Unit leaders,
The training scheduled for Feb 27 at the Topsham LDS Church has been postponed. Please contact Matthew Randall at 797-5252 x21 or mrandall@bsamail.org to make arrangements to get your training. Because we've had to postpone the training does not mean we are going to delay getting your unit leaders trained.
Venture Leader Training is still going to be held on Feb. 27 as planned at the LDS Church in Topsham.
Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation.

2. SPRING POPCORN.
Greetings All,
Your Scouts have recently received in the mail a flyer about selling popcorn this Spring. This is a family lead sale, not a unit lead one. The idea is that families can go door to door, make sales, and earn 35% commission towards camp.
The boys will receive a camp voucher in the amount of whatever they earned in early June. The voucher may be used at any PINE TREE COUNCIL camp activity, trading post, or at the Scout Shop. It cannot be used to attend camps outside of the council, with the exception of National High Adventure Bases, and National or International Jamborees.
Important date information for this sale: The family needs to get a copy of their order form by April 25 to MATTHEW RANDALL. He will then order their popcorn, and they will need to arrange to come pick it up at Barber Foods on Milliken St. in Portland on May 8 between 8 a.m. to noon. Payment will be due for their product to the Council Office by May 21.
Please encourage your Scouts to participate in order to help ease the financial burden of camp. Youth who attend camp stay in the program longer! Units who have Scouts attend camp grow their membership. Scouts who attend camp have more fun! This is a critical part of our program and Pine Tree Council is pleased to coordinate this popcorn sale as an avenue for Scouts to earn money to attend camp.
Extra brochures are available at the Council office and Roundtable, and a PDF version can be mailed to you as well.
For more information, please contact your District Executive (Matthew Randall).
Thank you for helping me and our Scouting family.
Yours in Scouting,
Matthew Randall
