Nominating Committee

• Recommends the district leadership for election at the district annual meeting.
• Assists the District Chairman and all program committee chairmen in recruiting.
• Carries out procedures as outlined in the District Nominating Committee Worksheet, No. 33157D.
• Views the District Nominating Committee video, AV-06V006, with the District Nominating Committee.
• Carefully select the chairmen of committees, but also the identification and development of future district leaders.
• Meets with the District Nominating Committee and District Executive, as adviser, to form the slate of nominees for District Chairman, one or more District Vice Chairmen, and District Members at Large, plus a nominee to serve as District Commissioner.

• Nominating Committee positions may be filled by anybody interested in the district by filling out a district comittee application.

• This committee is most active for only three months (January through March) preparing the district slate of officers.

• This is a great opertunity to serve the district in addition to your units.
